Local First Responders Honored at Annual Heroes’ Luncheon, Hosted by Legacy Village at Plantation Manor

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (September 26, 2016) – Legacy Village at Plantation Manor hosted its annual ‘Heroes’ Luncheon’ to show gratitude for local first responders on Monday, Sept. 11 in observation of 9/11.

Legacy Village cooked hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, pasta salad and dessert to show appreciation for all that these first responders do.

“In September of each year, we recognize ‘assisted living week’ for our residents, with a theme for each day of the week. September 11th was ‘patriotic day’; we all dressed in red, white and blue to honor and support our country on such a tragic day. We enjoyed being able to spend time with and recognize our local heroes on this day,” said Shavoka Mays, life enrichment coordinator of Legacy Village at Plantation Manor, a premier senior living community serving Thomasville, Ga.

“We can’t say thank you enough for our towns first responders. They go above and beyond to keep us safe at all times of day. We always have peace and trust when our residents are in their care,” said Jennifer McLendon, executive director of Legacy Village at Plantation Manor.
