Great Sense of Optimism and Gratitude as Legacy Village at Plantation Manor Completes Round 2 of COVID-19 Vaccinations of Seniors, Team Members
Following the administration of the first round of vaccinations in mid-January, all residents and team members have been offered two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
THOMASVILLE, Ga. (February 19, 2021) - Legacy Village at Plantation Manor, a premier senior living and memory care community in Thomasville, Georgia, has reached a major milestone in its efforts to protect its residents and team members from the COVID-19 virus after completing its second round of vaccinations earlier this month.
The senior living community began its vaccination campaign in January after significant planning to ensure it could secure sufficient quantities of the vaccine for all residents and team members who wished to participate.
The completion of the senior living community’s vaccination campaign marks a step forward on its continued journey toward optimal health and wellness for its family of residents, who have displayed considerable mental and physical fortitude throughout the pandemic.
“With two rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations complete, we feel thankful, we feel relief, and we feel hopeful that we’re one step closer to defeating this virus,” said Allen Chambers, Executive Director at Legacy Village at Plantation Manor.
In accordance with its mission to serve the Greatest Generation with honor, respect, faith and integrity, the senior living community will continue its efforts to provide an environment that enriches the physical, social, and spiritual health of its residents, providing activities ranging from Bible studies, to movie nights, to opportunities for exercise and movement.
“Our focus has been -- and will always be -- on the mental and physical health of our residents. With the added boost from the vaccine, we’ll continue forward on the path to overall wellness for our entire Legacy Village family,” said Chambers.
Legacy Village at Plantation Manor will continue to follow all COVID-19 safety guidelines set forth by the CDC, continuing to wear KN95 masks, social distancing, and regular wellness checks for all residents and team members.
